Why do the yummiest foods do the most damage? What’s so powerful about simple whole plant foods? While we could talk at length about the biochemistry, it boils down to two basic mechanisms: less of the bad stuff & more of the good stuff. Processed foods such as white flour, sugar & oil, as well as animal products contain the most cancer-initiating & promoting elements in any diet whereas whole plant foods provide more cancer-fighting elements.

Green tea offers flavonoids called catechins that have been proven to slow and or stop the growth of cancer.
Berries, particularly blue berries, strawberries and raspberries, contain a phytochemical called ellagic acid which has been proven in recent studies to slow the growth and spread of cancer cells.
Legumes, such as peas, beans and  lentils contain inhibitors which have been shown inhibit cancer cell reproduction.
