This is the Power Plate from the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (aka PCRM) in Washington DC. The PCRM is a large & growing international group of physicians & supporters who recommend eating a whole foods plant-based diet. Their website is loaded with easy-to-understand information based on the mountain of current evidence. The PCRM describes the optimal anti-cancer diet for humans as unrefined plant foods: whole grains, fruits, vegetables & legumes (beans, peas & lentils). The more we eat of these, the less we eat of the cancerpromoting calories such as alcohol, meat, dairy, eggs, fish, poultry & processed foods high in salt, oil & sugar. Taking a regular B12 supplement is a standard recommendation for anyone eating a plant-based diet and everyone over the age of 50. Having a good circulating level of vitamin D helps keep our immune system fit to fight on our behalf.
