This is a quick overview of what a diet of plant foods provide vs a diet of animal products. When we eat our day’s calories from a varied diet of whole plant foods, we consume more than enough protein. Although the meat & dairy industry would like us to think more is better, the research indicates that too much protein, especially from animal sources increases our risk of osteoporosis, heart disease, kidney damage and cancer.
