Here is another look at causes of cancer using international data. Clearly, diet has more impact on our risk of dying from cancer than genetics. In fact, if we add the influence of salt & food additives to the “diet” section, it suggests an even *greater* impact than smoking. We each have a lot of power over our health. Do we want to just manage risk? How about going for the gold and minimize risk as much as possible: avoid smoking AND eat a whole foods plant-based diet?
